A good HUD (Heads Up Display) is essential in any game as it is what indicates certain values of the game. In our game values will be displayed to the player which show their health and the amount of fuel the lantern has.
When designing the HUD similar games have been looked at:
Shovel Knight a game inspired by retro games, has a HUD which is similar to the Zelda HUD and other RPGs of this time.
The HUD for this game “Nuclear Throne” is a bit more complex, for our game we will use a HUD similar to this one.
